Post-coital Nausea

Actual vomiting is rare; nausea less so and may well affect almost everybody from time to time. When it is a regular occurrence it is almost always of psychological origin (there are some medical conditions that can cause it) and usually responds well to one of the investigative styles of therapy. It is important to consider the possibility of hidden agenda, especially in the case of vomiting, for this can be designed as an avoidance mechanism - it certainly will tend to inhibit her partner's enthusiasm.

One of the physical conditions that can be the cause sort of nausea is hiatus hernia and with this condition the problem would tend to be more noticeable when sexual intercourse occurs soon after eating. A medical check would reveal this condition which is not uncommon.

The Answer
There is no effective self-help for this condition and it is advisable to consult first with a Doctor to ensure that there is not the presence of a medical condition which could be alleviated by appropriate treatment. In the absence of such condition, the only answer is professional therapy which can be thoroughly effective.
